Why is Not Over You special to you?
I had a broken heart, and writing this song helped me come to terms with it all.
What do you love the most about the finished song?
It’s one of my favourite songs, as it’s personal, written for a beautiful lady who shall never be named.
What was the inspiration to write Not Over You?
For that one relationship that turns out to be for life, there are invariably some broken hearts along the way. Sometimes fortunately it’s mutual. Other times, sadly a partner may feel jilted.
Who did you write the song with and why?
I wrote this song for all those who have suffered heartbreak at some stage in their lives. The pain is excruciating; there is only one thing that is certain: time will heal.
This is particularly for those in the surgery awaiting healing!
Having written the melody and lyrics, I spent the day with Robert Emery working on the piano accompaniment.
Robert has since come up with the beautiful orchestration.

I try and enjoy my life to the full. I’ve been touched by joy, blessings, and at rare moments, tragic loss; music has supported me throughout all of this. All these experiences have triggered deep emotions, and this I feel has empowered my songwriting.
